Now Here's a Good One For You

Below is an Associated Press story in which Fidel Castro condemns the United States for its relief efforts in the third world country known as Haiti. My sentiments are at the end of the article, which I took the liberty to cut and paste.

Castro: U.S. Military in Haiti Hindered International Cooperation

Sunday, January 24, 2010

HAVANA — Fidel Castro is questioning why the U.S. and other countries sent soldiers to quake-ravaged Haiti, saying military presence hindered international cooperation.

The former Cuban president writes that "without anyone knowing how or why," Washington dispatched troops "to occupy Haitian territory," and other nations followed suit.

In an opinion column Sunday in state-controlled media, Castro said neither the U.N nor the U.S. "has offered an explanation to the people of the world."

Castro noted that several governments complained that the troops kept them from landing aid flights and called on the U.N. to investigate.

Bolivian President Evo Morales, a Castro ally, is seeking a U.N. condemnation of what he called the U.S. occupation of Haiti.

My Sentiments - almost politically correct:

Now, if this is the way the world feels about our humanitarian efforts, "F%#k 'em all". We'll bring all of our people home, along with all of everything we took there. Let France save the world. After all, don't they speak French in Haiti? We can put our troops where they belong, in the United States of America, on the Mexican border.
