Congress under Siege, and a couple other things

I’m still extremely pissed off about what happened yesterday at our nation’s capital building.

I have my opinions and idea’s why it happened.  Maybe what one commentator stated yesterday summed it up.  We had a “political failure”.

Before you hang up on me, hear me out because I’m blaming everyone.

For the last four years, beginning with the day Donald Trump won the election, the Democrats and their left hand, the media began a crusade to vilify, despise and eventually impeach President Trump.  The hate and vitriol against him was non-stop, by both Democrats and the media.

This past year America watched as cities experienced riots and were looted and burned by domestic terrorists, BLM and Antifa.  The mayors of these cities are liberal Democrats who not only stood back and watched, but actively encouraged the rioting, looting and burning and ordered the Police to stand down and defunded their police departments financially.  The riots were called “Mostly peaceful protests” by the Democrats and their ally the news media.  Additionally, they in many cases cut cadet classes and further reduced department size by hiring freezes and through attrition.  The terrorists saw this and immediately knew that there were no consequences for their criminal actions.  A whole lot of Americans saw this and were rightfully upset.

Then we had the 2020 election.  The Democrats were declared the victors.  But, like tens of millions of other Americans, I have questions.  I went to bed election night and Donald Trump was hundreds of thousands of votes ahead in many key states.  When I woke up the next morning, Biden was ahead by hundreds of thousands of votes.  Then, allegations of improprieties began.  In my opinion the mail-in voting that occurred did not instill confidence in my mind that the election was on the up and up.  I believed then, I believe now and I will believe the next election that voter ID should be mandatory in all 50 states.  No ID, no vote. Ballot harvesting should be illegal.  People should vote in person, with few exceptions.

Yesterday President Trump got on his podium and started with his crusade in front of tens of thousands of people and fired them up.  Now, I voted for the man.  Twice.  But I turned him off yesterday because what he was saying was without any proof, and in my mind inflammatory.  He just fired up a crowd, most of whom voted for him I’m guessing, stating the election was stolen.  Then the crowd wondered their way to the Capitol building where some in the crowd committed various crimes for which they should serve years in a Federal penitentiary.  One woman, a 14 year Air Force veteran was shot and killed.  In our Capitol building.  It is my opinion that some in this crowd were there for the sole purpose of committing crimes against persons or property, and for no other reason.  Were members of Antifa among the crowd, I think so.  That’s their MO.  Blend in, commit crimes and violence and let the others suffer the blame.

I was a Police Officer for 32 years.  I arrested a lot of people because I had the proof that they had committed a crime.  I did not arrest a lot more people because I did not or could not produce the proof that they committed a crime.  Sometimes I knew that someone had committed a crime, but knowing and proving are two different things.  President Trump has been yelling since he lost the election about a stolen election.  I’m guessing that he’s paying his legal team some pretty good money to pursue his claims.  BUT, up to this point I have seen no concrete evidence to support his claims.  If I was on that team, I’d be dumping evidence by the boxfuls on the table for all of America to see instead of promising big things to come.  I’m not from Missouri, but show me.  I had to put up proof of probable cause to go forward with my prosecutions.  Knowing and proving are two different things.

Was the 2020 election rigged and stolen?  It’s my belief that it was, but believing and proving are two different things.

The 2020 election should not have even been close.  The Democrats put up an old man who can’t string enough words together to form a coherent sentence, who never accomplished anything in 47 years in government and who barely ever came out of his basement to campaign.  Trump ran his mouth hammering the Democrats incessantly.  Trump should have been talking about the good things that he accomplished.  Calling your opponents names and such is not the way to win an election.  Trump shot himself and his chances of winning in the foot. Both feet actually.  Donald Trump is to blame for Donald trump losing the election.

The biggest threat to the United States of America today is the Democratic Party.  They don’t even hide their Socialist/Marxist agenda anymore.

Just calling this the way I see it.

It is time to get this country back on the right path.
